On Tuesday, November 25th, Blaisdell's entire San Francisco Bay Area delivery fleet will be taking a day off from their regular routine and delivering hot Thanksgiving meals to unhoused residents, seniors, and low income families throughout Oakland. What does this mean for Blaisdell's customers? Simply a one day delivery delay of their orders. All orders placed on Monday, November 24th will deliver on Wednesday, November 26th.
Blaisdell's is proud to continue our partnership with the City of Oakland to make this event possible. The Community Day of Thanks, in its 34thyear, is part of the City’s Hunger Program founded in 1985 during Mayor Lionel J. Wilson’s administration.
Blaisdell’s Business Products will be donating staff time and transportation services to deliver 2,700 hot meals to Community Partner Organizations throughout all seven Oakland districts for distribution to the community including the City of Oakland's Safe RV sites and cabins. 500 meals will also be available for pick-up at the Marriott City Center hotel on a first come, first served basis.
